“The Pilgrimage” an original screenplay written by Ahmed Ahmed and Gizal Hasan. A story about a young man who loses his faith then regains it by performing Hajj (The annual pilgrimage to Mecca). This project is currently in in preproduction.
Egyptian-born, California-raised, Ahmed Ahmed was a guest on ABC’s The View, was the subject of a front-page Wall Street Journal article, and appeared in a recent Newsweek. In addition, Ahmed has guest starred in Roseanne, Tracy Takes On, and In Living Color, and has had roles in numerous movies, including Executive Decision.
Ahmed performs regularly at L.A.’s world-famous Comedy Store, and headlines nationally. Much of his unique, hilarious material derives from his life as an Arab-American during these unusual and stressful times.
Ahmed was featured recently on CNN’s “American Morning with Paula Zahn.” NPR, BBC, “The Today Show”, New York’s Newsday, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle (front page), The Boston Globe, USA Today, The Hollywood Reporter, and an Associated Press article appearing in hundreds of papers.
